I hate giving bad reviews, I like dealing directly with people involved to see if I can't get issues resolved, but I have had no luck getting Zips to even respond to my complaints, so here we are. In the early spring, I took my Dyna in to address an oil leak, and to look over the rest of the bike and advise on what might need attention. Before I left the dealership, we agreed on a new rear tire, and to have them perform the routine fluids replacement, and to advise on anything else. I told them to test the led gas cap/fuel gauge and let me know if it was bad, did not ask them to spend two hours to rewire it, which they did. Admittedly, that was vague, and if that was all, I wouldn't have complained, but they also did a brake job that was never discussed, and in doing so they installed the front tire off center (spacers on wrong side of tire) so not only did they do work I didn't request, they made matters worse by installing the tire wrong. To top it off, they tried to get me to authorize another $250 to replace the disk, because they contended that was the reason the tire would barely turn. Fortunately I told them not to do it, and was going to fix it myself, and in the process of doing so I realized there was nothing wrong with the disc, just had to swap the spacers (after I purchased a new disc). I still wasn't going to complain, but I kept getting requests for feedback, so I decided to let them know about my concerns. I went into great detail in email, twice, and made a couple follow up calls, but never spoke to anyone that cared. This morning I got yet another email requesting feedback on my experience, so here we are. I give three stars because up until I picked up the bike, I was pleased with all of my interactions. All I wanted was an acknowledgement of my complaint, maybe some credit back for the labor they put into the brakes since it was done improperly, but getting no response has convinced me not to return. I will continue to do my own work.
