First i took my bike in for a service, told them it was leaking oil, figured the best time to fix an oil leak was durring a service job, after 5 weeks, their diagnosis was spilled coffee, so 5 weeks down middle of summer and didn't fix the leak, now it needs a piston and other stuff nothing is covered by their so called warranty, after i get my bike back, I will not return, to this shop.

I hate writing this review. I love this store. I will continue to shop there, but taking our bikes in for service has become an issue. The people that work there are professional and caring..... but our trike has been in the shop more than it has been with us. We took our bike in for an oil change and issues were found. It has been a month now. We still have not gotten our bike back, and we are the ones that have to reach out to Platte river about the status of the bike. I hate calling an being a pain, but its getting frustrating. We came back to buy our second bike regardless of the issues we had with the first bike (which I have not mentioned). We love this store and know that some of the reps there care, but this is ridiculous. Please, we just want our bike back so that we can enjoy it, as other riders do. We have been patient, but this is not right.

I first contacted PRHD by email after looking at the web site. Tom called me back within an hour. I told Tom my days off were the days they were closed, and I lived 7 hours away. No problem was the reply we'll open for you. Drove down on Sunday and stayed at the Best Western next to the dealership. Met Tom & Phil checked the Ultra Classic out and said let's get the paper work done I've got another 7 hour drive back home. PRHD was a joy to work with and the most fun I've ever had buying a HD. I live 15 miles from a dealership that I never enjoyed doing business with. Platte River Harley Davidson you rock! Thanks for the laid back attitude and prompt service. I will be back!

I bought my first Harley Davidson about a month ago, and I visited this dealership just last weekend. Now, I understand an 03, 883 sportster still has me at the kids table at the Harley family Thanksgiving dinner, but I was made to feel very welcome here. I told the guy at the parts desk I needed to change oil and he went and grabbed oil and a filter, then he asked me if I needed a washer for the oil plug. I told him I was pretty sure there was no plug just a hose that I remove. He stopped and said, I have never changed oil in a sportster, and he went to the back. When he came back he put one quart of oil back on the shelf, changed the filter, and asked for my number to see if I was in the system. I told him I was not, as this was my first Harley and my first visit. He sat back, look straight at me, kind of opened his arms, and said, Welcome to your Harley shop. He then asked if I was a Vet, and then signed me up for a points reward program that they have. He said to me that folks shouldn't find coming in here intimidating, but some do. I am not new to motorcycles. I have ridden a bunch of Kawis over the years and currently have two Indian motorcycles in my garage along with the sportster. I have been in dealerships. I just had never been in a Harley shop and hadn't had a reason to be. He really made me feel comfortable, and when I walked in I was greeted by a couple of gals at the front desk, but I was not set upon by a salesman, or anyone, and was allowed to just browse. I wasn't pressured. I picked up a dealership tee shirt while there,(my first HD gear) and left feeling really good and welcome to return. I will. Thanks for the great experience.

The family thought we were headed to Nebraska to recover a 2015 Ultra this past Saturday. Even though the shop was very busy, they took the time to replace the stator and get the guys from Missouri back on the road.
